Hoteliers Sign Guaranty For Leipzig 2012 Summer Games

About 300 representatives of the hotel industry signed a guaranty last week to make available 60,000 rooms at fixed moderate prices in all categories for visitors attending the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, should Leipzig be chosen host city.

This is 18,000 more hotel rooms than the International Olympic Committee (IOC) requires for a city to host Olympic Games.

As well as standard hotels, rooms will be available in residence hotels and through this concept more guests can be accommodated in the centre of the city and near sports events.

Hoteliers in Dresden and Rostock are also supporting this initiative.
