Suspended International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Ivan Slavkov, who was to lead Bulgaria’s delegation to the Athens Games, was replaced Sunday by the Bulgarian Olympic Committee’s (BOC) general-secretary Belcho Ivanov, reports Reuters.
A spokeswoman for the BOC told the BBC, “it’s terrible just before the Games and the whole delegation will be very disappointed. It’s unnecessarily severe and extreme.
“The decision should have been made only after the full inquiry was over”.
