New York 2012 Launches Promotional Campaign

NYC2012 has launched its new advertising and overall marketing campaign – “Let The Dreams Begin” – which showcases New York’s Olympic spirit and aspirations.

Initially the campaign, which is the first in a series, will feature eight television spots, two radio spots, and print and outdoor advertising that will run throughout the five boroughs and the three major New York area airports.

Ads for the bid will begin airing this week in the New York metro area.

New York personalities promoting the bid include Jerry Seinfeld, Billy Crystal and Regis Philbin. Commercials, donated by media companies, will also feature celebrated New York icons (yellow taxis) and locations (Yankee Stadium).

Daniel L. Doctoroff, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Rebuilding for the City of New York and founder of NYC2012 said, “we are delighted to launch this spectacular campaign that embodies the spirit of New York City – a spirit that also is the embodiment of the Olympic ideals. These new ads present everyday New York scenarios to depict the city as a place where people from all over the world come to fulfill their dreams, where they come to push themselves, to complete with the very best and to pursue the ultimate glory, just like the athletes who participate at an Olympic Games”.
