Kyodo News reports that famed architect Kisho Kurokawa said Wednesday he is running in the Tokyo gubernatorial election in April and if elected he intends to stop Japan’s bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
The newspaper reports it was not known why Kurokawa wants to block Tokyo’s 2016 bid.
