The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has invited the public to submit designs for the Youth Olympic Games medals to be awarded at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in Singapore August 14 to 26, 2010.
Sergey Bubka, Chairman of the Coordination Commission for Singapore 2010 said, “by launching the first ever medal design competition online we hope to tap into the creativity and imagination of young people across the world”.

The public is also invited to vote on the 10 best medal designs that will be submitted to an IOC jury who will then elect the best design. The winning designer will win a trip to the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games to see first hand his or her design be awarded. The winner will also receive a gold medal replica.
Design submissions will be accepted starting November 7 to December 4, 2009. The public vote begins December 7 to January 22, 2010 and the winner will be announced by January 31, 2010.
