The Today website reports that based on the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games bid book, the average cost of tickets will be $38, with an average price for the closing ceremony at $18.
Organizers expect events like track and field and swimming to attract the most interest since they are traditionally the two most popular disciplines at a multi-event Games, reports Today, and tickets for the two sports and the other 24 will be capped at $10.
A Singapore 2010 spokesperson said yesterday that nearly 400,000 tickets will go on sale for the Games in which an estimated 3,600 athletes ages 14 to 18 will compete in more than 200 events across 26 sports.
The largest venue in terms of seating is The Float @ Marina Bay grandstand, which can accommodate up to 30,000 spectators and will stage the Opening Ceremony and is also the main staging area for cycling events.
Full tickets details will be revealed in the next few weeks, reports Today.
