Organizers of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games announce that Deloitte Singapore is its first major sponsor and they are confident that despite the current economic downturn they will meet their S$50 million target.
Channel News Asia reports the deal is worth several million dollars in cash and kind, and covers services such as auditing and risk management.
Ng Ser Miang, chairman of the Singapore Youth Games said, “even before this sponsorship we have been looking at tightening the budget and to make sure we deliver the Games successfully”.
Organizers reportedly are ensuring that all sponsorship deals will be closed over the next two or three months. They also ensure that the sponsorship packages cater to all kinds of companies, even those with a small budget.
