PyeongChang 2018 National Support Strong

PyeongChang’s bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games is getting the highest national support according to a telephone survey carried out December 10 and 11 which shows that 91.4 per cent approve of the city’s bid.

A PyeongChang 2018 press release says the bid still has the same strong support it had during the two previous failed bids which shows the increasing popularity of PyeongChang 2018, and that the Games in PyeongChang will greatly contribute to the national and regional development.

Support for the bid was 91.4 per cent nationally and 93.4 per cent city-wide.

Jai-ryong Jang, Secretary General of PyeongChang 2018 said, “first of all, I should appreciate the high level strong public support. Concentrating its support and long-cherished desire on the bidding, we will be able to bring the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to PyeongChang by all means”.
