Five thousand athletes took part in the 2010 Hope Marathon last weekend at the Olympic Park in Seoul, to show their support for PyeongChang’s bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

About 2,000 of the athletes with a disability joined able-bodied participants, and 30 Olympic medalists also took part in the event, which was organized by a charity of disabled athletes. Following the marathon there were several concerts and performances.
