Munich 2018 and national sponsor BMW Group unveiled Saturday a “symbolic and spectacular” clock at BMW’s global headquarters just outside Munich’s Olympic Park that will count down the final days, hours and minutes until the International Olympic Committee (IOC) elects the host city of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games at the IOC Session in Durban July 6.
The clock, which is 14 metres long and 4 metres high, began counting down from 130 days starting Saturday.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission will be in Munich next week inspecting the city’s bid March 1 to 4.
