Swiss Olympic Committee Backs Joint Davos-St. Moritz 2022 Bid

Switzerland’s Olympic committee is backing a joint bid from Davos and St. Moritz for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Swiss Olympic president Joerg Schild says it chose Davos-St. Moritz over Geneva because their proposal will have a better chance than a city-based bid.

A formal bid from Switzerland needs to be approved by the country’s sports federations next April.

St. Moritz hosted the Olympics in 1928 and 1948.
