The Slovak government has approved a report on the progress of its joint bid with Poland to host the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Krakow, Poland.
Xinhua reports that preparing the bid would cost about $673,000 by the end of July 2015.
According to the report released Wednesday, 40 per cent of all expenses will go to services relating to the preparatory work, such as analyses, expert studies and assessment. Another 35 per cent will go to travelling expenses and expenditures associated with attending the various meetings.
The bid won’t entail any demanding construction work at sporting venues and stadia.
Krakow is expected to announce its official bid to jointly host the Winter Games with Slovakia on November 14, and submit its bid in March 2014.
