Annecy 2018 now has a new partner. ERDF Annecy Leman (the French Electrical Distribution Network) has now joined Annecy’s bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
ERDF, Annecy Leman sector, manages the electrical distribution for all of the Haute-Savoie and neighbouring regions and is very involved in the development of renewable energies and works on programs to innovate in terms of energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption, said a press release.
Christian Monteil, Chairman of the Annecy 2018 Supervisory Board said, “by bringing ERDF Annecy Leman into the marketing program, Annecy 2018 shows that large French companies and the economic world back this national project”.
Edgar Grospiron, CEO of Annecy 2018 said, “ERDF, a national company, has invested in the candidature at a local level with ERDF Annecy Leman. This support is important for the bid as it shows that through the passion of the regional population, Annecy 2018 is the candidate for all of France in the organization of the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games”.
