In hopes of gaining knowledge about hosting a Winter Olympic Games, a delegation of Norwegian lawmakers met with the leaders of PyeongChang 2018 who briefed them on their preparations for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Oslo Norway was recently named Candidate City for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games along with Beijing China and Almaty Kazakhstan.
PyeongChang 2018 officials discussed preparations for the Games including infrastructure, sport facilities and transport network.
Linda C. Hofstad Helleland, Chair of the Parliament’s Transport and Communications Committee, led the delegation, thanking them for their time and wishing them good luck with the Games.
Norway successfully hosted the 1994 Lillehammer Olympic Winter Games and is looking to host the 2nd Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2016.
