Almaty 2022 has launched its new website in its bid for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
It’s a technical website to show interested people about the hosting capabilities of Almaty on which the venues, maps, technical information about former, current and future events are shown as well as information about the city.
Timur Dossymbetov, Secretary General of the NOC of Kazakhstan said, “launching this website is something special. It’s the next step on our journey – to open a window to the world and a window for the world to find out more about Almaty, Kazakhstan and our tradition certainly comparable to more winter sport countries in the world”.
The Mayor of Almaty said “it’s an honour for us to be on the world’s stage now. But also a duty. Still we are not Candidate City. But so far we tried our best to show the Olympic Movement that they would have a trusted and experienced partner but still willing to learn and improve”.
