2018 Bid Cities To Make Pitches In Lausanne To IOC

The three cities bidding for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games are in Lausanne to present their bids Wednesday directly to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) members.

Bid leaders from PyeongChang, Munich and Annecy will pitch their bids to the more than 80 IOC members expected to attend the closed-door presentations and question-and-answer sessions at the Olympic Museum.

Thursday the members will be able to visit the bid cities’ exhibition rooms at a Lausanne hotel.

The IOC is selecting the host city for the 2018 Winter Games in Durban, South Africa on July 6.
