Tokyo 2016 sent a top level delegation to the Pan-American Sports Organisation (PASO) General Assembly being held in Acapulco, Mexico, led by Dr. Ichiro Kono, Chairman and CEO of Tokyo 2016 and Executive Board Member of the Japanese Olympic Committee. The meeting takes place October 9 to 11.
The members of Tokyo 2016 say they will present the “Olympic vision of Japan’s vibrant capital city” to the National Olympic Committees.
Dr. Kono said in a press release, “we are delighted by the opportunity to share Tokyo’s unique vision for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games with PASO members from across the Americas. The Tokyo 2016 team is also keen to benefit from the insights and know-how of our fellow delegates, which will help us to ensure that a Tokyo Games would be the most compact and innovative to date”.
