Mercedes Coghen, Madrid 2016’s CEO, is in Beijing attending the 120th International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session, along with 115 members of the Madrid 2016 bid team.
Madrid 2016 General Director Antonio Fernandez Arimany visited the Sportspeople Olympic Village and toured the International, Accreditation and Residential areas, as well as delegations of different countries and the Spanish Olympic team. He said, “I am sure our athletes are going to play extraordinary well in these Beijing Olympic Games. I am convinced we are going to get more medals than the number we got in Athens four years ago”.
