School Principles “Forced” To Support Chicago 2016?

ESPN reports Chicago Teachers Union spokeswoman Rosemaria Genova says an April 22 e-mail from school board President Michael Scott appeared to force schools to participate in an event promoting Chicago’s bid for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

The e-mail ended with the words “you must sign up by Monday, April 27”.

According to ESPN, Geneva says participation could be difficult as the city’s proposal includes closing some schools near Olympic venues.

Scott said Friday that registrations were “absolutely voluntary” but acknowledged the e-mail was strongly worded, reports ESPN.
