Vancouver 2010 Welcomes Nine Companies

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games announced the addition of nine new Canadian companies to its Official Licensee Program under the “Apparel” and “Headwear” categories.

The licensees include five companies based in British Columbia (B.C.) and four in Toronto, Markham and Montreal. They will develop and sell products bearing Vancouver 2010 emblems and Olympic and Paralympic brands.

The companies include Aritzia LP of Vancouver, Filmar Sportswear Canada Inc. of Montreal, Cranbrook B.C.-based Kootenay Knitting Company Ltd., New Era Cap Canada from Toronto, Panabo Sales Ltd. Of North Vancouver B.C., Paris Glove of Canada based in Montreal, Please Mum of Vancouver, Trimark Sportswear Group Inc. of Markham Ontario, and Wilson International Products Ltd. based in Richmond B.C.

Dave Cobb, VANOC executive vice president of revenue, marketing and communications said, “we’re pleased to have this impressive group of Canadian companies join our growing list of VANOC licensees. Their products will complement the strong merchandising program started by our Premier National Partner, HBC.

Merchandise developed by the new licensees should be in stores by January 2007.
