A Vancouver website reports that according to a blog dedicated to late Eagleridge protester Harriet Nahanee, radical anti-Olympic aboriginals want to shut down Monday night’s Vancouver City Hall Paralympic flag-lighting ceremony.
Opponents of the Games have been invited to board a free 4:30 bus for the ride to Pigeon Park and to “bring drums, your voice, warrior spirit”.
The Native Warrior Society has reportedly claimed it stole the Olympic flag last week from Vancouver’s city hall to honour Nahanee, who died in hospital after serving a contempt-of-court sentence for blocking Olympic highway construction.
