Vancouver 2010 announces that Canada’s leading overnight courier company, Purolator Courier Ltd., is joining the team supporting Vancouver’s 2010 Winter Olympic bid.
The company’s first assignment as bid supporter will be to deliver the bid books to the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland by January 10.
Purolator will also provide a financial contribution and in kind courier services to Vancouver’s bid and the company will promote Vancouver’s bid on its fleet of trucks and select Purolator packaging products throughout British Columbia.
In making the announcement Jack Poole, chairman and chief executive officer of Vancouver 2010 said, “we are delighted to welcome Purolator to our expanding team of corporate supporters. As a company that is recognized across the country for its legacy of community support and leadership, Purolator’s involvement will deliver tremendous value both locally and through its national network as support for our bid expands”.
