There are now twelve major international French companies in the Paris 2012 Corporate Club, now that Airbus, one of the largest airline companies in the world, has signed on as a corporate sponsor in the bid to bring the Olympic and Paralympic Games to Paris in 2012.
Following the confirmation of Airbus joining the Paris 2012 Corporate Club, the private financial contribution has risen to 18 million euros.
According to research conducted by the Boston Consulting Group, the Paris Games would generate 42,000 new jobs and 35 billion euros of additional revenue.
Several other organizations are expected to join when corporate support is widened to include small and medium sized businesses.
