The Turin 2006 Paralympic Games logo was unveiled to the President of the Italian Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampo by representatives from Turin 2006, the CONI, the City of Turin, the Piemonte Region and the Province of Turin.
Also in attendance was a delegation of Italian athletes who won medals at the Paralympic Games in Salt Lake City.
The Paralympic Winter Games logo, created by the Studio Husmann-Benincasa following a competition, is similar to the Winter Olympic logo and the International Paralympic Committee logo.
Sergio Chiamparino, Mayor of Turin, said that preparations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games are proceeding well, thanks to the collaboration of the city of Turin, the province, the region and the towns where some of the venues are located.
