Turin 2006 Paralympic Games Liaison Committee Meeting Opens

The fourth meeting of the “Games Liaison Committee” opened Friday at Turin 2006 head quarters.

There were presentations at the morning meeting updating the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on the constitution, which was approved by Turin 2006’s last Board of Directors meeting.

The IPC ratified a decision to host the 2006 Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony at the former Stadio Comunale.

Following the opening session the commission gathered in work groups to discuss accommodation, sport, protocol, technology, marketing, image, transport medical service and anti-doping.

On Saturday the Liaison Committee will visit the Orbassano Anti-Doping Centre and the commission will continue working on the specific themes for the Press Services, Paralympic Village and the National Paralympic Committee.
