A Tromsoe municipal committee has ruled that Tromsoe Norway has enough daylight to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
According to the committee Tromsoe has eight hours and 15 minutes of daylight between February 21 and March 7, the time the city is hoping to host the 2014 Games.
During the 1994 Games Lillehammer had just 25 minutes more, according to NRK-TV.
The city committee has also concluded that organizing and hosting the Winter Games would cost about NOK 8 billion ($1.15 billion U.S.).
