TO-Bid’s chief operating officer Bob Richardson told the Toronto Star that TO-Bid hasn’t done enough with its flashy Web site launched in April.
The Star reports that the site’s jazzy graphics and flashy picture are only accessible to people with high-speed computers. “If you use the low-bandwidth version for slower machines, the lack of readily available information on the bid becomes apparent.”
The Star compares Toronto’s official Web site with Beijing’s “newly improved site” which posts new stories about the bid almost every day. The Star says of Toronto’s site “it’s possible to find a few press releases regarding proposed stadium locations and such”.
But Richardson says “stay tuned, it’ll be cleaned up”.
