TO-2008 Speakers’ Bureau Launched

Associations, clubs, companies and community groups may be interested in the formation of TO-2008’s Speakers’ Bureau launched by McLuhan & Davies working in partnership with the Toronto 2008 Olympic Bid (TO-2008) and its Commmunity Outreach & Volunteer Committee.

The Speakers’ Bureau will be delivering a 10-15 minute presentation in English and French, on the status and progress of the Olympic Bid. Speakers will be available from February to July 2001.

The presentation can include the video “Expect the World” used to launch Toronto’s bid to host the 2008 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Cultural Festival.

Members of the Speakers’ Bureau include representatives of the TO-2008 Board, its committee members and senior TO-2008 staff.

Topics include Why Toronto? – the 2008 Games, a catalyst for development and community renewal, a legacy for youth, sport and culture; and the plan to host the 2008 Games: financially and socially responsible, and environmentally progressive.
