Ticket Sales For Turin 2006 Games Surpass Expectations

About 57,646 tickets were sold during the first phase of ticket sales for the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games from November 3 to December 19.

TOROC Chief Executive Officer Paolo Roto said, “we are very pleased. These are very encouraging figures. They have surpassed expectations”.

The most popular events were ice sports such as figure skating, speed skating, short track and men’s hockey, the ski jump alpine ski and the Opening Ceremony.

Those who ordered tickets during the first phase will be able to purchase their tickets between February 3 and 9 before the second phase of sales begins on February 10.
