Thameslink Train Launched To Promote London 2012

The Thameslink train was launched at King’s Cross St. Pancras station Monday by Transport Minister Tony McNulty to promote London’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.

The promotion includes wrapped trains on three rail networks, printing the London 2012 logo on 5m train tickets, and advertising on trains and at stations throughout the UK.

The Thameslink train, which will initially run between London and Bedford until May, and then throughout the Thameslink network, is the latest addition to the campaign which includes branded tube and Docklands Light Rail trains, London buses and taxis.

The 2012 logo is also carried on aeroplanes from the fleet of London 2012 Premier Partners British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
