Talks On Unified North-South Korean Team Doubtful

The South Korean Olympic Committee said it’s likely that a third meeting scheduled in North Korea’s Mt. Kumgang resort Thursday will be delayed amid rising tensions following North Korea’s missile tests earlier this month.

The South and North Korean officials were to meet on forming a unified Olympic team for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

In June International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge wrote letters to North and South Korea promising support for the joint team effort.
