SportAccord has renewed top-tier sponsorship agreements with leading sports industry companies, which its says in a media release underlines the annual convention’s capacity to deliver value for its partners.
IEC in Sports, Sport-Accord’s longest serving sponsor, has signed a two-year agreement as a gold sponsor for SportAccord 2008 being held in Athens June 2-6, and GL Events and Contemporary Group have also renewed their gold sponsorships for two years.
SportAccord also has two new gold sponsors this year – the Organising Committee of Pescara 2009 Mediterranean Games and the Macau Sport Development Board.
This years SportAccord is expected to attract 1500 delegates from 500 organizations around the world. The event will feature a “dynamic” exhibition, numerous networking receptions and top-level conference sessions as well as the annual general meetings of the Sports Governing Bodies.
There will be several media organizations on hand to report on the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) announcement of the candidate cities for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
