If Sofia wins the bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, accommodations for 3500 people will be in Sofia, Bansko and Borovets, said Sofia’s mayor Boiko Borissov.
Borissov and members of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee are to sign a charter guarantee.
Financial and organizational responsibilities will be divided among Borissov, Samokov mayor Angel Nikolov, and Bansko mayor Aleksander Kravarov, according to the 24 Chassa newspaper.
Bulgaria will invest $7.3 million in Sofia’s bid. If Sofia is selected host city for the 2014 Winter Games Bulgaria will provide $422 million for capital investment reports the Sofia Echo. Part of the funds will come from the private business sector.
New sports facilities will be built, and existing ones refurbished.
Transportation, health care and security will be funded separately.
