Sofia will have another opportunity to promote its bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games at the Sofia Sport Expo being held June 7-10 at the National Palace of Culture, a proposed venue for the Sofia 2014 Winter Olympic Games bid.
Sofia 2014, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, and the State Agency for Youth and Sport will host an exhibition to promote and provide information about the bid to sports industry professionals from across Bulgaria as well as Sofia residents.
The Expo is drawing exhibitors from all areas of the sport industry including sports federations, tourist agencies promoting sport tourism, manufacturers of sporting equipment, venue operators and other sports industry professionals. The Expo will also focus on the development of Bulgaria’s sport infrastructure.
Stefka Kostadinova, President of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee said, “we know the Bulgarian people support our bid. The Sofia Sport Expo is a great opportunity for us to inform more people about the bid and the Olympic movement and to receive the feedback and ideas of sport people from across Bulgaria”.
