Sofia officially unveiled its logo Monday in its bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
The basic colours of the logo are blue and green, representing the sky and mountains. The ground is separated by two white crosses, representing Bulgarian snow tracks. The yellow pontin in the middle of the crosses is the symbol of the sun, said the logo’s designer, artist Georgi Yankov.
Sofia sent its application for the 2014 Games to the International Olympic Committee on Saturday, said Svetla Otsetova, deputy president of Sofia 2014.
