The International Olympic Committee (IOC) says it has “no doubt” that Russia will deliver a safe Sochi 201 Winter Olympic Games, despite security worries over the attack on a Moscow airport that killed 35 people and injured more than 100.
The IOC told The Associated Press that security at the Sochi Games is “a top priority”.
The IOC said, “security is the responsibility of the local authorities, and we have no doubt that the Russian authorities will be up to the task.
“The Games are a celebration of peace. We look forward to that spirit being respected in 2014”.
