The Presidium of the Presidential Council on Physical Culture, Sport, Olympic and Paralympic Games Preparation approved the administrative structure of the Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games preparation Tuesday.
Also Tuesday the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee’s Supervisory Board presented the 2007-2008 financial plan.
The Presidium of the Presidential Council is to become the highest managing body of Sochi 2014, responsible for the development of the Olympic and Paralympic Games preparation strategy, coordination of operations between investors, federal and local administrations, international Olympic and Paralympic Committees, and sport and public organizations.
The Presidium will supervise three separate executive bodies – the Interdepartmental Commissions, Working Groups, and the Council of Experts.
The Interdepartmental Commissions will supervise the implementation of all decisions taken by the Presidential Council. They are Physical Culture and Sport, Excellence in Sport Commission headed by Vyacheslav Fetisov; 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Games Preparations Commission headed by Alexander Zhukov; and Information Support of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Commission headed by Alexey Gromov.
