Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels has formed a steering committee to take economic advantage of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
The mayor envisions Seattle serving as a secondary access point for arriving athletes and tourists, and the region hopes to induce visitors to spent part of their trip in the Puget Sound region.
“The time is right to begin developing a strategy for taking advantage of the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver,” said Nickels.
