Samaranch Didn't Have Heart Attack

Former International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Juan Antonio Samaranch didn’t have a mild heart attack as reported Tuesday, and is out of the hospital.

Annie Inchauspe, Samaranch’s spokesperson, told the Spanish news agency Efe that “it was a slight reaction to fatigue without importance and now he’s resting in his hotel. He was only in the hospital for some minutes”.

IOC spokesman Mark Adams said he had no information about a heart attack and that Samaranch had gone to the hospital for “a minor ailment”.

Samaranch reportedly underwent exams while in hospital after feeling ill at a sports conference Tuesday.
