The Associated Press reports that Salzburg and Innsbruck Austria will make a formal bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games at a presentation in Vienna next month.
The two cities will make their joint presentation to the Austrian Olympic Committee on December 15.
Salzburg and Innsbruck lost a bid to host the 2010 Winter Games and Innsbruck has hosted the Winter Olympics twice while Salzburg was a finalist for the 2010 Games, won by Vancouver.
Other cities interested in bidding for the 2014 Games include Tromsoe Norway, Sofia Bulgaria, and Muju and Pyeongchang South Korea.
