The largest children’s skiing competition, the fourth international Kids’ Trophy, was held Friday and Saturday in Zauchensee, one the venues included in Salzburg’s bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
More than 1100 competitors ages five to fifteen from seven countries demonstrated their ability in a variety of races and a giant slalom on what Salzburg 2014 called the “famous” Kalberloch run, and many world-class skiers watching the event cheered them on.
The program also included ski tests, a kids disco, clowns and magicians, so that the young athletes were able to relax and enjoy themselves, said Salzburg 2014.
