Salzburg 2014 officials in Seoul for the 15th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) used the opportunity to introduce its new CEO Fedor Radmann and to promote its 2014 bid.
Salzburg Mayor Heinz Schaden, who led a delegation of six in Seoul said, “for the 2014 bid cities this ranks as one of the most important meetings on the international sports schedule. The large number of IOC members and sports leaders gathered here gave us an extraordinary opportunity to introduce our new CEO, Fedor Radmann, and our executive team to members from all over the world”.
The Salzburg team met with more than 50 IOC members during the week and Schaden and Radmann met personally with IOC President Jacques Rogge and ANOC President Mario Vasquez Rana among others.
Radmann said, “in many ways this was a breakthrough meeting for us. We were able to establish fresh relationships with dozens of old friends and humbly introduce the vision of Salzburg 2014 to dozens of members and sport leaders we hadn’t met before”.
Members of the group networked during meetings, receptions, dinner and coffee breaks.
The Salzburg 2014 team distributed a newsletter and an image brochure in six languages – English, French, German, Spanish, Russian and Arabic”.
