St. Johann, the former site of the snowboarding events in Salzburg’s bid for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, has dropped its request to be compensated for loss of reputation following Salzburg’s decision to remove the venue from Salzburg’s failed 2010 bid.
St. Johann had asked for 180,000 euro, but bid officials said if they agreed to St. Johann’s request, they would also have to compensate the other venues.
St. Johann is now looking to the federal government for support.
