Salzburg Austria’s bid for the 2010 Winter Games has three new sponsors – Salzburg AG, Stiegl Brewery and Raiffeisen Bank.
Dr. Wolfgang Gmachi, director of marketing for the Salzburg bid, says that the contractual agreements with the partners are enormously important. He says, “these partnerships go far behind the standard conditions of a sponsoring agreement. We looked for enterprises in which employees, management and owners stood fully behind the Olympic bid”.
He added those companies had the Olympic spirit through their messaging and marketing activities.
