According to Sport1, Russia is reconsidering a bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
An Olympic foundation has been created through the Russian Olympic Committee and Moscow’s municipal government.
Russian president Alexander Gomelski, a former basketball national coach, along with Moscow’s head mayor Juri Lushkov and the president of the Russian Olympic Committee Leonid Tjagatschov, are supporting a 2012 bid.
