Rio de Janeiro’s municipal government, Intelligent Risks PTY Ldt. (IS) an Australian company formed by the executive officer for security during the Sydney 2000 Games, and the Brazilian Olympic Committee, have signed a contract for the Rio 2007 Pan-American Games and Rio’s bid for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
The company will assist General Rosario, Security Coordinator for Rio 2007 and Rio 2012.
The Rio 2007 Pan-American Games will have a Games Security Command Center that fully integrates the three levels of government (federal, state and municipal), insuring the involvement of all security forces in the country.
IR has consulted in 45 countries as well as for the Athens 2004 Summer Games.
