Rio 2007 Pan Am Games Reach Another Stage

Brazil’s Ministry of Sport issued a call for bids from companies to provide works and services for the Deodoro Sport Complex, host of the equestrian, shooting, archery, field hockey and modern pentathlon competitions during the Rio 2007 Pan American Games.

The sport complex will be built at the Military Village in the West Zone of the city.

A Rio 2007 press release says that with the tender, the Ministry of Sport has reached another stage of its commitment to the Rio 2007 Pan Am Games.

Several permanent venues will be built including the Olympic Equestrian Center, the Olympic Shooting Center, the Field Hockey court and a pool for the Modern Pentathlon competition.

Other venues hosting the Modern Pentathlon competitions and the Archery venue will be temporary.
