Resolution Adopted In Support Of Osaka’s Bid

Japan’s House of Representatives has adopted a resolution concerning Osaka’s bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games.

The resolution states that “hosting the Summer Olympic Games in Japan, for the first time since the Tokyo Olympics, would be highly significant for international goodwill and the promotion of sports worldwide. The House of Representatives recognizes that in order for Osaka to host the 29th Olympic Games in 2008, bidding activities should be strongly promoted and preparations carried forward smoothly”.
