According to a poll carried out among 1,000 people last weekend following the terrorist attacks in London, three-quarters of British people still support the 2012 Summer Games being held in London.
British Market Research Bureau conducted the survey. It found that among Londoners the figure supporting the Games dropped to 68 per cent. But only six per cent felt that the Olympics would not be good for the country with 54 per cent of respondents saying that winning the Games is very good.
Regionally the highest apathy vote was from those living in Scotland with 33 per cent not interested.
Seventy six per cent believed that facilities will be in place in time for the Games.
