The Southern California Committee for the Olympics Games (SCCOG) launched a radio public service announcement campaign Tuesday featuring a diverse cross section of Southern California elected officials, celebrities and athletes, including Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, music producer Quincy Jones, and Olympic Gold Medallist Oscar de la Hoya.
The campaign includes a series of six English language and two Spanish language 30-second announcements and are expected to air on select English language and Spanish language radio stations in Southern California this month.
Barry Sanders, chairman of the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games said, “our incredible line-up of talented, dedicated individuals offering to be a part of the Los Angeles 2016 Olympic bid is very encouraging. Their support combined with that of civic and business leaders throughout the region and state, and Angelenos themselves, spotlights a community that is ready, willing and eager to host the Games”.
